HOW TO IDENTIFY A RIP CURRENT:
There is a part of the water that is different coloured. Sometimes the ocean colour can go lighter or darker. It is difficult to find ways to identify a rip current.

HOW TO AVOID A RIP CURRENT:
To avoid a rip current you need to stay between the red and yellow flags. Don't swim far out to sea where no one can see you. look at the sign that will tell you what the dangers for today are.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT:
Imagine getting caught up in a rip current, what would you do. Well if you did
get caught up in a current then don't try to swim against the rip. Try to put your hands up, don’t wave your hands side to side because the people on the beach might think that you're trying to wave so they might wave back at you. If no one comes out to rescue you just wait, Try to float on your back until rescue comes.
If you’re at the beach just take a good look at the ocean to see if there are rip currents and stay between the red and yellow flags if there are some. Make sure you check the sign to see what the dangers are for the day.
